Responsible for achieving sales and financial targets against agreed service department plans. Ensures that the department meets the quality objectives and standards. Develop and implement sales, advertising and promotion plans to increase the customer base with reference to the groups marketing plans to achieve agreed targets. Maintain and develop the profitability of the service department by closely monitoring all aspects of its performance, actively seeking opportunities to improve and implement effective improvement actions as necessary. Assess service department potential and revenue forecasts. Review the workshop operations frequently and provides guidance and leadership to improve profit and operational excellence. Develops plans and budgets including capital budgets for the workshop in consultation with the GM Region and informs departmental staff to ensure maximum commitment. Ensures planning and coordination between various sections of the department and interaction with other departments to achieve group targets. Motivate, develop, organizes and lead the team of service personnel to meet agreed objectives. Enable and encourages service personnel to adapt to and exploit technical, environmental and business changes. Ensures harmonious working environment by constant interaction with staff. Sanctions all temporary , casual headcount, within defined parameters and budgets.
